In America political issues keep the country checked and balanced. These issues are used to distinguish people based on their political views and preferences. One of the most controversial issues to deal with is poverty. Political news incorporates the need for aid and the lack of aid given by more fortunate countries to protect citizens.

Political news covers many different political topics, and many different ideas regarding them. A participant in politics supports issues such as constitutions, democracy, elections, civil rights, human rights, animal rights, free trade, economic issues, innovation, immigration, and much more. Many of these ideas are accepted by many groups in the United States, both political and private. Sometimes however political issues , incorporate intellectual accounts of issues like poverty and tradition of countries like the United States that don’t help out. These facts presented on issues like poverty make it apparent that even though an issue may be relevant it isn’t always a top priority for all countries involved.

Political issues like poverty first became prominent when class structures were formed, causing certain people to be forgotten. During this time many ideas were based of social status, religion, and the absolute power rule. Political news will shed light on these issues only to forget about them after. Most people are unaware that about twenty four thousand children die each day due to poverty each year and most people do nothing to help it. In places like Africa, and Asia the rate of poverty is way more extreme than that of the United States. Worst part about it is that it can be prevented.

The average person that lives in poverty lives off of just a little over a dollar a day. The bad thing is that political news is used to glorify celebrities and richer nations like the United States instead of focusing on the problem. Modern media do a great job of saturating the media when tragedy like the Virginia Tech shooting happened for days. The political news that was broadcast was ongoing for a long period of time, which is good for the United States. When issues of poverty arise for places that are less industrialized it is not televised as rapidly. In weeks span the political issues of America will have top priority on news stations across the globe, and issues that are far more important will not. These same political issues of poverty can be prevented very easily, if countries would send over substantial aid to other countries. This should become a priority because most of the problem starts with countries that are well off, due to globalization. International law requires countries to lend a helping hand to those in need and also provide substantial funds to help these countries not only cope with, but come out of poverty. Political news place an important role in spreading awareness on issues like poverty, they unfortunately do a horrible job. As a result, the severity of this issue is not felt and the need for assistance is not pushed. In order for an issue like poverty to become and issue of the past, people have to be informed.

Political Party

In the United States, politics is broken up into categories known as political parties. These parties were established to provide a specific following and keep the country true to some sort of system. Many people in America cannot tell the difference between parties and usually tag along side a family member in determining which party they belong to. The largest two political parties that exist are republicans and democrats. These two are located at opposite ends of the political spectrum. The conservative side of politics is the Republican party. This political party is used to clean cut American values and believe in hard work and dedication. Most people that are apart of this political party are very old school and do not like issues like abortion, welfare, gay marriage, universal health care, and lower taxes. The republican political party have been known to keep the rich people richer and the poor people poorer by increasing the taxes on the poor and decreasing them for the rich. Now a days, this was of thinking has been shut down by the new generation of liberal democrats and moderate republicans. The other political party is the democratic party. This political party is one that is more on the liberal side and fights for Civil Rights for all people. They are the new school of politics in the United States and do not like issues like higher taxes, privatized health care, pro life abortion, and marriage dictated by the government. These individuals are usually the ones pushing the envelope. Most democrats are in favor of new ideas and policies that roll with the times. These two political parties are used as a tool to check and balance decisions being made in the capital. The majority of the United States are a part of these political parties.

Even though the democrat and republican parties take up the majority, there is another party known as the liberal party. This political party is the most controversial of all the parties. The individuals in this usually favor issues that look out for the interest of the individual. They believe that governments should interfere on a limited basis and should not control everything a person does. These political parties offer diversity in the political arena, and make for great debate. If there was an absence of objection to issues of a given party, than the country would always stay the same. Change is inevitable and the Untied States changes constantly, which requires that laws and amendments get changed. This also requires that law be created to focus on new issues that face the population, with input from that population. In democracy elected officials are put into office by the people in the community. Each individual in a given community has a different and unique issue of there own that deserves to be heard and considers. The system of debate between opposing sides ensures that the system will remain up to date. That’s why it is extremely important for many political parties to exist at a time.

Political Campaign

Running a political campaign is one of the most stressful jobs that there could possibly be. A political campaign requires long hours and demanding scheduling. This mean time away from family and long hard hours of trailing on the road. During a political campaign the main goal is to win the election in which the candidate is running for. The drawback is that both opposing parties will be hard at work taking the necessary steps to victory, and in the end there is only one winner that is awarded. This fact alone makes the process extremely stressful and full of pressure. One campaign team will be praised for all of the terrific work that was done during the political campaign and one team will be told how unsuccessful they are and probably get fired, Many times political campaign get nasty and turn into a game of finger pointing and political promises.

During a political campaign for president of the united states many times the vice presidential pick is a make or moment. In the two thousand and eight campaign for the president of the United States between Barack Obama and John McCain was a long and hard battle. The one defeating moment for the Republican Johan McCain was when he elected new comer Sarah Palin to his political ticket. She to most people was a ignorant woman who had no idea to run a country. When something like this happens in political campaigns, the only outcome is losing. People automatically became fearful that the country was in jeopardy, so much so that the majority of Americans elected Senator Barack Obama, an African American over McCain, for the first time ever. Every decision made on the campaign trail is crucial because once the faith of the people is lost, they will turn their backs on a candidate in a heart beat Political campaigns are the easiest way for political unknowns to become well known politicians whether they win or not. This political campaign in particular went down in history for many reasons, including the fact the Barack Obama ran a grassroots campaign. Grassroots means that he used the support of American citizens and did not use money from lobbyists or organizations with special interests. This was historical because in the United States most political figures use money given by special interest groups in exchange for a specific policy change. This is how politics get corrupted and how the people or citizens of a country are paid a disservice. Additionally, it was the first time that a political figure became president so soon after joining the senate. Barack Obama had only been a senator for a year before becoming president of the Untied States of America. Political campaigns can be very fun and exciting, especially when they are history making like the one listed above. However, when someone loses a political campaign is very hard to see them this way. Nevertheless, when conducting political campaigns it is most essential to the win that a nominee stay true to hi/her followers.
