In America political issues keep the country checked and balanced. These issues are used to distinguish people based on their political views and preferences. One of the most controversial issues to deal with is poverty. Political news incorporates the need for aid and the lack of aid given by more fortunate countries to protect citizens.
Political news covers many different political topics, and many different ideas regarding them. A participant in politics supports issues such as constitutions, democracy, elections, civil rights, human rights, animal rights, free trade, economic issues, innovation, immigration, and much more. Many of these ideas are accepted by many groups in the United States, both political and private. Sometimes however political issues , incorporate intellectual accounts of issues like poverty and tradition of countries like the United States that don’t help out. These facts presented on issues like poverty make it apparent that even though an issue may be relevant it isn’t always a top priority for all countries involved.
Political issues like poverty first became prominent when class structures were formed, causing certain people to be forgotten. During this time many ideas were based of social status, religion, and the absolute power rule. Political news will shed light on these issues only to forget about them after. Most people are unaware that about twenty four thousand children die each day due to poverty each year and most people do nothing to help it. In places like Africa, and Asia the rate of poverty is way more extreme than that of the United States. Worst part about it is that it can be prevented.
The average person that lives in poverty lives off of just a little over a dollar a day. The bad thing is that political news is used to glorify celebrities and richer nations like the United States instead of focusing on the problem. Modern media do a great job of saturating the media when tragedy like the Virginia Tech shooting happened for days. The political news that was broadcast was ongoing for a long period of time, which is good for the United States. When issues of poverty arise for places that are less industrialized it is not televised as rapidly. In weeks span the political issues of America will have top priority on news stations across the globe, and issues that are far more important will not. These same political issues of poverty can be prevented very easily, if countries would send over substantial aid to other countries. This should become a priority because most of the problem starts with countries that are well off, due to globalization. International law requires countries to lend a helping hand to those in need and also provide substantial funds to help these countries not only cope with, but come out of poverty. Political news place an important role in spreading awareness on issues like poverty, they unfortunately do a horrible job. As a result, the severity of this issue is not felt and the need for assistance is not pushed. In order for an issue like poverty to become and issue of the past, people have to be informed.
